GRATEFUL. That’s the only adjective that my heart beats and my mind dictates at this very moment. Though this is just the beginnin’ of my “American Roulette” countdown, most of the people surrounding me say that I still possess that “Poker Face” three years ago…if you know what I mean.
Last year, I posted in my previous blog my “vague” birthday thoughts written in Tagalog titled, “DREAM ON WONDER WHO-MEN!”. This year, I’m still ceelebrating my birthday with my pending “childhood dreams” dreaming on over again & again & again. And even though hard efforts were made, some things in life are just so hard to achieve. Could it be that those are not just meant to be or for me??? I dunno. Only God knows.
My best friend Blondie and I also made a “pact” last year that we have to achieve our dreams in 2009 no matter what happens. As it turns out when we Skyped a few weeks back, we realized that to this date, both of us ended up still “dreaming on” to those things that we really want in life.
And even though my biggest birthday wish ever for this year did not happen, I’m still keeping that HOPE in me to remind me that the battle is not yet over and one day, I will rule over it! As a consolation, some of my “wishes” came true. Best friend Blondie purchased me a collector’s item which I thought I will never have as I’ve been really looking for it everywhere and couldn’t find it. What is it??? Here’s the pic. . .
Yup! A Wonder Woman action figure!!! So let me take this opportunity to thank my best friend for 18 years, BLONDIE, for ALWAYS BEING THERE. No dictionary or wiktionary could ever define our friendship as the real meaning of it is engraved in our hearts & souls sis and you know that very very well…XXX!
Then my gift for myself this year, even though it’s not really what I wanted to have but it seems like this is the closest replica & function-wise gadget that I can susbstitute with over iPhone 3Gs, I purchased 3 weeks ago a Samsung Star S5233 WiFi Series touch fone instead. . .
Well, time to upgrade really after 3 loooooooong years! Uh-huh! I told you, I’m not really a gadget freak but I think I deserve to be “in” once in awhile. So far, I’m loving it!!!

So even though I’m on-leave today and tomorrow, I still have to collect my renewed work permit at the Ministry of Labor this morning before finally having a mini-shindig with a few close Thai friends later in the evening. In fact, ceelebration started last Sunday when I threw a shabu-shabu treat to my Pinoy friends in a newly opened shop in MBK called, “Sukishi”. Actually, this brand has been here for years but they only serve set menus and recently changed their style into shabu-shabu.
Well I guess that’s it for now. I guess I’ll be stuck listening to Robyn’s “Dream On” and my fave song since a few weeks back, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” while facing the first day of my added year. Ciao!!!
